This publication is the container for a conversation that Tilla Giro and I are holding since june 2025.
It started with the collaborative project Scampoli di Storie (Fragments of Stories) (2024) [➞], developed during an artist residency in Sardinia. Since then, we have been keeping a shared research journal: about walking and collecting/gathering as a method of relating to a place and its histories. Over time, this has grown into a body of notes, references, and drawings.
a sack, a bag, a book features excerpts from the written dialogue, shared references, a “confused” manifesto, and scores as invitations for the reader to start walking and listening themselves.
