"1 Minute" is a crocheted sculpture created by translating personal screen time into a material form. On November 1, 2021, my screen time was assessed as: six hours of productive work, six hours of entertainment, and six hours of other activities, all happening simultaneously. Reflecting on the question of what constitutes 'productive' time, digital creation, and personal data tracking led to the transformation of this information into manual craft. Each crocheted loop symbolizes one minute spent, and each color represents a computer application from the screen time analysis.
One loop after the other, as of December 8, 2021, I have spent 22.3 hours crocheting.
